1/24 Scale Performance Steering Links
1/24 Scale Performance Steering Links
A tierod is an important link that rigidly connects both steering knuckles on the axle. This tierod has been specifically designed to allow drivers who have increased their maximum steering angle on their SCX24-based rock crawlers. If you're using CVD axle shafts, have trimmed away the stock steering stops and are using oversized differential covers, then this tierod is for you!
Because this tierod is made from a stronger material than stock and most aftermarket options it can be slightly thinner. The front of this tierod is then also pushed out a mere 1mm, but you gain approximately 1.5mm more clearance at full-lock than other popular tierods. The extra weight down low and up forward is usually welcomed by most!
Meus +5mm Isokinetic Axle Tie Rod and Drag Link:
- Includes Treal Stainless rod end balls that have been drilled out to accommodate the larger M2 screws of the Meus knuckles. Servo Horn rod end ball remains M1.4
- 67mm Eye-to-eye length for slightly increased toe OUT which: 1.) Allows for more steering angle on inside tire without any grinding since steering stops are on the front of the axle, 2.) Better Ackerman angle for more traction through turning.
- More clearance- finely tuned to allow for max steering angle while remaining as close to the axle as possible for better approach to obstacles.
